Funny story of Ganesha and the mouse

Funny story of Ganesha and the mouse

Ganesha, a popular Hindu deity, is beloved for his elephant-like head and huge belly. But the story of the mouse who lives with him cannot stop laughing. In today's story we will learn how this little mouse became the vehicle of Ganesha and the story is full of fun!

One day, all the gods gathered together in heaven for a special task. Lord Indra called the meeting, and all the gods appeared. Ganesha was also there, but he was not very hungry. Even then he ate a little, because he was in a bad mood if he didn't eat anything during the meeting. At the end of the meeting, when all the deities were going back to their work, Ganesha was also looking for his vehicle. Yes, Ganesha then used a big peacock as a vehicle.

But suddenly a small rat appeared in front of Ganesha. As small as this little creature looks, so is its temperament. The rat came in front of Ganesha and said, “Sir Ganesha, I want to be your new vehicle. Will you accept me as a vehicle?”

Ganesh was a little surprised at first. So small mice and huge Ganesha! Is it possible? Ganesh said with a smile, “You are very young. Can you really carry me?”

But the rat was very stubborn. He looked at Ganesha and said, “You give me a chance to try. I can take you.” A storm of laughter flowed through Ganesha's mind. "Well, let's see what this little mouse can do," he thought.

Ganesha sat on the rat, and found, strangely, that the rat was able to carry him perfectly. Ganesh was surprised. This little mouse is so strong! The rat moved with him as if he was made for Ganesha.

From then on, Ganesha took the rat as his vehicle. However, one day a funny thing happened. Ganesha and his rat were going to a village. On the way Ganesha felt very hungry. Ganesha went to a house in the village and asked for something to eat. The people of the house seated Ganesha and did great service, arranged a great feast. Ganesha started eating and as he ate, his stomach started to swell.

On the other hand, the mouse sat outside and waited. Suddenly he heard a strange sound. Looking back, a huge snake is coming to attack him! The rat got very scared and started running. He was running so fast that even Ganesha lost his balance and fell down. Ganesh started to gurgle while reading with so much food in his stomach.

At that time the gods were watching everything and their laughter did not stop. Ganesha himself realized that this funny match of his heavy body with the rat race would make anyone laugh. Ganesha also started laughing. Later he pacified the rat and took it again as his vehicle.

From then on Ganesha and his rat's friendship deepened. Ganesha knew that the rat, however small, had infinite strength and courage. And the rat also knew that Ganesha would always protect him.

Although the ending of the story is funny, we can learn from this story that one should not look down on one's appearance or abilities. Just as the little mouse was able to carry Ganesha, so many small things in life can do big things.
